Written Projects
These are some of the works that I have been most proud of writing wise from my time at Eller and before my time at Eller.
More Human than Human
A Film Analysis
The first of these written works comes from my first year at the University of Arizona when I took Honors English 109. This was the final portion of our film analysis section, and I chose to analyze Ridley Scott's Blade Runner through the lens of viewing the story as an allegory for racism and the exclusion of the 'other'.
I find this to be an important piece of writing to highlight because I feel that viewing and analyzing media, such as film, can be incredibly beneficial for individuals; it teaches us to read between the lines and see meaning beyond what is immediately in front of our eyes.

I myself am very proud of this analysis, and hope you enjoy it and that it makes you think beyond the obvious when reading it. Click on the picture to read it!
Hip-Hop and Fashion
Where Class and Wealth Meet Outward Appearances
This paper was also written in my first year at the University of Arizona. It was written as the final project for an honors music class looking at the history and culture of music in North America.

This paper outlines the complex relationship between fashion and hip-hop. What I ultimately concluded was that there is a correlation to a person's wealth and class and how they choose to appear to others.

I chose this paper because it relates to my interest in researching economic inequalities, which we see in the different levels of class of citizens in the United States.

Authority
Philosophy and Authority
This particular paper was written in my second year at the University of Arizona, and was a philosophical paper taking a look at the role of authority and what justifies authority.

This paper was done for a PPEL class (Politics, Philosophy, Economics, and Law), and its main purpose is arguing for the 'true' definition of authority and who has authority.

I am proud of this work because it was one of the first papers I wrote that incorporated a large amount of different sources on top of being a philosophical analysis. Click the photo to read it!
Industry Report
Courier and Delivery Service
The final written work I wanted to highlight was written in the spring semester of 2020, just as I was applying for entry into Eller.

This paper is an industry report, specifically looking at the courier and delivery service industry in the United States. It covers topics such as competition, main competitors, predicted performance, and current performance.

This report is important because it is reflective of the work that I will likely continue to do moving forward in the business world, but also in looking at the world around us doing research for future projects in economics.
